Better Objects and LastObject — Same Company, Same Mission

If you've found this page after searching for LastObject, you're in the right place. This page explains the relationship between the two names.

Better Objects is LastObject

Better Objects and LastObject are the same company, the same founders, the same products, and the same mission. Nothing about what we make has changed.

LastObject ApS was founded in Copenhagen in 2016 by Isabel Aagaard, Nicolas Aagaard, and Kåre Frandsen. The brand launched its first product — LastSwab, the world's first reusable cotton swab — in 2019 via Kickstarter. Over the following years, eight products followed: LastTissue, LastRound, LastTissue Box, LastPad, LastSwab Beauty 2.0, FacePlunge, and LastBrush. Every one of those campaigns was fully funded. Together they brought in over 61,000 backers across Kickstarter and Indiegogo — every campaign fully funded.

The original products and certifications — GOTS-certified organic cotton, FSC-certified packaging, ISO-certified lifecycle analysis — remain exactly as they were.

So why Better Objects?

LastObject was always the right name for a company that made reusable alternatives to single-use items. The "Last" in the name meant the last one you'll ever buy — a reusable item that permanently replaces the disposable version.

As the product range expanded beyond personal care essentials, we wanted a name that could hold a broader set of objects. SoundUp — a Bluetooth amplifier that helps you keep using the speakers you already own — is not a reusable alternative to a disposable. It's something different: an object that rethinks what a product should do. Better Objects is a name that makes room for that kind of thinking.

The mission stays the same: make everyday objects that are better than what they replace — better for you, better for the environment, better made.

  • FSC certification: All product packaging uses Forest Stewardship Council-certified cardboard.
