LastFloss press kit
Press kit · updated 7 October 2026
A reusable flosser you reload with ordinary floss. It replaces up to 1,000 single-use floss picks.
About LastFloss
LastFloss is a reusable flosser from the team behind LastObject. You load a strand of any standard dental floss, tighten it, floss one-handed, and reload it next time, instead of throwing away a plastic floss pick every day. One LastFloss replaces up to 1,000 single-use floss picks.
Floss picks are convenient, and most of them are thrown away after one use. LastFloss keeps the convenience and drops the waste: the handle stays, and only the floss is replaced.
It takes any standard dental floss, waxed, unwaxed or tape. A strand goes across the fork and is held tight by the knob on the handle, so reloading takes seconds. It comes with a protective travel case and floss to get started.
LastFloss is made by the Copenhagen team that launched LastSwab, the reusable cotton swab, in 2019, and carries the LastObject name as an endorsed sub-brand.

Announcement
The team behind LastSwab launches LastFloss, a reusable flosser that replaces up to 1,000 floss picks
Copenhagen, 7 October 2026
Better Objects, the Copenhagen company behind LastObject and its reusable cotton swab LastSwab, has taken about 2,000 pre-orders for LastFloss, a reusable flosser that is reloaded with ordinary dental floss. It ships in January 2027.
A floss pick is used for a minute and thrown away. LastFloss keeps the handle and replaces only the floss: a strand of any standard floss goes across the fork and is held tight by a knob on the handle. One LastFloss replaces up to 1,000 single-use floss picks.
LastFloss comes with a protective travel case and starter floss. It is available to pre-order at better-objects.com for $19.95, against an expected retail price of $29, with 15% off two and 20% off three or more.

Story angles
The waste nobody counts
Floss picks are small, plastic and used once. A reusable handle with ordinary floss removes most of that.
After the reusable cotton swab
The LastSwab team, backed on Kickstarter in 2019, turns to the next single-use item in the bathroom.
Keep the habit, change the object
LastFloss does not ask people to floss differently; it asks them to stop throwing the tool away.
